Peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Mother’s Day, May 8th, 2022, in her 80th year.
Nancy, beloved wife of David Thomas Clements for 51 years. Loving mother of Rob Clements of Bowmanville, Ontario, and Kathy Clements of Windsor, Ontario. Beloved grandmother to Rebekah, Jenna, Aubree, Hannah and Joey. Cherished sister of Faith Lawrence, Sharon Fee and Mark James.
Nancy was a dedicated children’s worker and devoted her life to Christian education from a young age. As a young mother she provided in-home care to numerous children. Later in life she studied part-time at nights, eventually earning a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Durham College.
Nancy leaves behind a spiritual legacy etched on the hearts of the countless children she taught over six decades at Queensway Cathedral, Toronto; Trinity Pentecostal Church, Oshawa; Liberty Pentecostal Church, Bowmanville; and Trulls Road Free Methodist Church, Courtice.
Nancy will be remembered fondly by friends and family for her intricate crocheted angels, creative cakes, and food art.
The family will receive friends at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street Bowmanville, on Thursday, May 12th from 6pm-8pm.
Funeral Service will be held at Trulls Road Free Methodist Church, 2301 Trulls Road, Courtice, Ontario, on Friday, May 13th at 1 pm.
A brief graveside service will be held near her hometown of Houseys Rapids, Ontario, at Barkway Cemetery, Gravenhurst, on Tuesday, May 17th at 1 pm.
In memory of Nancy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
