We were very saddened to hear of the loss of our Aunt Ruth. We remember fondly of our visits with our mom to her house. She always had kind words and a good joke for us. She was a great friend to our grandma and godmother to our mom. She will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences to the Lawson family.

Ruth was such a dear friend of mine since 1954. She rented a room in my home in Kapuskasing after arriving to Canada. We were the best of friends ever since. One of the highlights of our friendship was travelling to Germany with Ruth to meet her family. My deepest sympathy to Kathy, David, John and the family. I will miss her dearly.

I always enjoyed the phone calls we had once in a while keeping each other informed about our lives and relatives in Germany and Canada and I will always remember the pretty cards she sent for Christmas and birthdays. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone that’s missing her and we comfort ourselves with the fact that she’s in God’s loving hands like the others the went before her.

I am from Kapuskasing and belonged to the same Parish as Ruth - St Patrick's. She was a true lady and I always looked up to her . She made volunteering a pleasant and fun adventure. I loved working with her in the CWL and enjoyed her musical talent at Saturday evening Mass. She was missed when they moved and will remain a cherished memory. Liz McInnis

Ruth and John were good friends of Nicole and I and my mom! We sat with her and John for years at St Joseph’s Church at 9am mass. I was in the choir with Ruth for a lot of years! We would go to Tim Hortons after mass with both her and John and have a few more laughs and lots of coffee! She was a good friend and will be in our memories for ever!
