Heather, my Family is so sorry to hear the news about your Mom and Dad.
For many years my Parents enjoyed your Mom and Dad as neighbors.
I still laugh when I remember the first time I greeted your Dad at work, I worked overtime in your Dad's group.
I walked up and said hello " Mr. Griffin, how are you ? " He got this big grin on his face and replied back
" Tim , you're not a teenager delivering my newspaper anymore, we're coworkers now so call me Wally. "
From that day in 1984 and on , I called him Wally. It never did feel right though calling your Mom by her first name.
R.I.P. Wally and Mrs. Griffin.

To all the family. Our sincerest condolences to you all. We lived in the house behind them for a number of years till 2013. We were always inspired by their devotion to each other and always had trouble keeping up with their work in the garden and Wally riding the tractor with the constant backfire. Velma used to get a kick out of that.
We’d regularly see Wally on his jaunt back from the general store with his latest batch of ice cream.
They were such a lovely couple. Many conversations were about the latest adventures of the grandkids.
No surprise that they passed so close together. They were inseparable.
Rest In Peace.
Tom, Ivania, Natalia and Emily Kuch.

Stephen and I will never forget Wally and Velma. Always smiling and at least one laugh with each conversation ... Velma could be counted on for for delicious lemon meringue pies for the Anniversary Supper, and yes Wally could be counted on to eat them! And I'll never forget Wally in his 80s, up on the roof doing repairs. They were an inspiration. Here are some pics, from a soup supper in 2013 and the Anniversary Supper in 2015!

Dearest Heather,
Your mum and dad were such lovely people. I have the fondest memories as a kid trick or treating. Your mum and dad were always excited to see us. When our girls were old enough, we parked in your parents driveway and they would be our first stop.
While I hadn’t seen them in some time it was always somehow comforting and warm to know they were there. They will be missed more than you could know.
