Obituary of Brandon James Dey
April 8, 1984 – November 20, 2021
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Brandon James Dey on November 20, 2021 at the age of 37.
Brandon was the loving spouse of Emily Bilodeau. They were together for over 17 years. Brandon was much loved by his sweet dog, Ella, who they adopted from an animal rescue in Michigan.
Brandon was the adored son of Martin and June Dey. A son every parent would be so proud of! Brandon was the best, most loved brother to his sister Adrienne Carnovale and her husband Chris Carnovale. Brandon thought the world of his nephews Aidan and Zachary Carnovale; and Mason and Cohen Bilodeau (the cowboys). He loved to get together with the nephews and have fun playing games, watching their sports, or just sitting around sharing lots of laughs. Brandon was the treasured grandson of Bertha Powell, and the late Ron Powell; and Vera Dey, and the late Basil Dey. Brandon was the beloved nephew of Phyllis Sundstrom, Gary & Jennifer Powell, Al & Gay Dey, Keith & Janice Dey and Sharon & Scott Pickering. Brandon will be sorely missed by his many cousins, extended family and friends. Brandon adored his extended family and loved spending time all together!
Brandon was the most loving son that we as parents could have asked for. Brandon was so helpful and kind. He had a gentle soul and loved to be with family and friends. Brandon was a true outdoors man who loved to go camping, fishing and hunting. He loved fishing and was his dad’s fishing buddy; his dad says he was the most skilled fisherman he knew. He was always willing to lend a hand at the cottage, whether that be climbing through cobwebs to turn on the water, raking leaves or helping out with the boats. He was a “gentle” man who would do no harm. He loved his dog Ella and enjoyed taking her on walks in the woods, car rides to the cottage or to Dairy Queen for an ice-cream cone. In the winter he enjoyed snowmobiling, weather permitting. Brandon was 2 years into his apprenticeship as a Glazier; he was top of the class during his last training course. He was very skilled in his trade and created a stunning art piece of a fish on a mirror which he gifted to his mom and dad. Brandon and Emily loved to take the cowboys (Mason and Cohen Bilodeau) up to her grandfather’s cottage for weekend getaways. He was a loving and devoted uncle to all his nephews. He loved watching baseball or hockey games in which his nephews (Aidan and Zachary Carnovale) participated in. He was such a kind hearted man and just recently spent the week looking after his sister’s cats. Brandon and his sister, Adrienne, were so very close and loved being together. Brandon and Adrienne even played volleyball together in a league a few years ago. They had the best of times together! Brandon always loved family vacations to Florida, Cuba or the Dominican and time spent up at the cottage with his family and friends. At the cottage he always enjoyed sitting around the campfire and playing cards. We always had the greatest talks and shared a lot of laughs around the campfire. He always gave the warmest, tightest hugs. We will all miss those hugs. He will be missed by all who know him and especially his family who he loved so much! We will miss you forever Buddy! xoxoxo
“You’re the lovely Brother, I’ve adored since I was small,
and for me the day you left us was the saddest of them all.
But all the memories that we shared from when you were a boy,
have only ever filled my heart with happiness and joy.
You grew up and proved to be a man both fair and true,
and every day throughout my life I will think of you” (Author unknown).
