It was a privilege to have gotten to meet Tom and get to know him over the last few years. He certainly was witty, but also had a deeply spiritual side which was lovely to see, and he certainly made many friends who will miss him. Our group sends prayers and condolences to the family on your loss; may God provide comfort and strength to you during this difficult time. Celebrate Recovery (CR) -Whitby

Deepest condolences to the Metselaar family. Tom was a character and will be missed by many. He had a great sense of humour, liked a good joke, liked to read, watch movies, make wonderful crockpot dishes, etc. I loved to supporting Tom in any way I could ; he was always so grateful.
I am so comforted to know that he no longer suffers with on-going pain and discomfort. Tom was a Christian and will be with his beloved parents and his dear sister, lucy.
Who can forget Tom's laugh!!! We will miss you

Iam his older sister. I have many memories of my brother I think I loved when he was a little boy. You will see in family video how he rode his bike up and down the street going so fast. Later in life how at Lucy’s wedding reception at Bowmanville marina,he fell into Lake Ontario he came in the Hall drenched how we all laughed but he laughted the loudest after staying Moms going to kill you . After Mom found out we were the ones in trouble as we almost let him drow but I think the water was only waist high I still laugh at seeing that .Brother you made us laugh lots also cry a lot you your at peace with Jesus out of pain Love youHillie
