John, so sad to hear of Anne Marie's passing. Such a beautiful and kind woman. I so looked forward to the visits at the clinic across from your house. I especially enjoyed watching you both decorate the front of your home. Gardens absolutely beautiful.
Remembering with the fondest of memories.

Dear John and all of the family. Heartfelt condolences to you all. Ann Marie was such a kind, thoughtful and lovely person who will be truly missed by so many. I especially remember her kindness to me and my children. Remember Jesus’ encouraging words ‘Truly I say unto you today you will be with me in paradise’. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Love Caroline, Bruno, Marcella, Richard and families. Xx

I've been trying to find the words to express my emotions at the loss of our sweet Anne Marie for days. I have such fond memories from my childhood growing up spending time at the Bowmanville house, crawling around behind the couches and loving John's authentic Welsh bar, playing with prudence, eating Anne Marie's famous meatballs (which I found out later were PC packaged meatballs!) And pretending to attempt to walk around the pool 20 times to digest after eating, before a swim, but purposely falling in after only one lap. I'll always remember Anne-Marie turning up the pool heater to 90 in anticipation of our visit, and John freaking out to set it back down to the reasonable 78. I've never had a swim in a pool as warm as theirs.
Anne-Marie was always so warm and welcoming and treated all of us Monty children as an extension of her own. I didn't realize until later in life how lucky I was to grow up with such a loving aunt and uncle so close by. Always showering us with gifts, food, love, and a place to gather.
Anne-Marie will be so sorely missed and I'm devastated that I won't be there to celebrate her life, tell stories of old holidays together and pool parties with the whole Monty, Lock and Mroueh clan.
I'm eternally grateful to have had such a close relationship with Anne-Marie, even through her quintessential British stoicism, I always could feel how much she loves us, and I'll never be able to fill the void she's left.

We met Anne-Marie more than 50 years ago when she and John arrived in Toronto with their little one, all of us new immigrants to Canada without immediate family. We were so fortunate to have them in come into our lives and be a part of a Canadian family that has sustained us and been at our side through thick and thin these many years.
Condolences to John and the extended family, I know how much Anne-Marie will be missed, and loving memories of a warm and caring friend who waged a valiant battle these past five years with strength, courage and faith.

John and family. My deepest sympathy on the loss of Anne Marie. It is only in the last few years that, after moving to Bowmanville, we had the great fortune to get to know her. She went out of her way to make us feel so welcome at St. Paul's Church. I remember fondly the chats over lunch at the Bowmanville family restaurant after Sunday service. May the wonderful memories you have comfort you at this difficult time. Remember and cherish the good times shared as a family.
