Doug ... I'm so very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing, Your Dad amalgamated the 3 Data centres in 1961 and i was fortunate to have worked for him during that time. He was an amazing boss, and many people learned from his leadership. Please accept my condolences. Lorne.

So many great family events and family memories from Uncle Johnnie and Aunt Mary with their 9 passenger station wagon (kids in the back) to Johnnie and Rita, they made us feel so welcome on every Christmas holiday. We enjoyed huge family dinners and multi-member conversations.
The country home at "Bali-Manor" was magical during each and every season whether Bryan was learning how to skate on the pond in winter or 'helping' Grandma and Grandpa catch frogs and watch the fish swimming in summer. We all enjoyed their "wonder chickens" that laid green eggs (Johnnie was convinced it was their diet of fresh cut grass lol). Their generosity extended to looking after Bryan and our family dogs when we were away on business trips (couldn't have done it without them). They braved the perils of uncertain weather and 'iffy' roads to join us for Thanksgiving at the cottage.
It was Grandpa Johnnie that secretly taught Bryan to ride a bicycle in the back lot and fall in love with the thrill of the Riding Lawn Mower.
He always encouraged the many family card games, billiards and table tennis which kept all the very active grandchildren entertained. He loved his work shop and spent patient hours with Bryan making treasured and creative wooden wall hangings there.
We will always be grateful for Johnnie's time, advice and generosity. He will be sorely missed.

Grandpa Johnnie was a man of knowledge, he always had the answers to my many curious childhood questions. I dearly remember that excited twinkle in his eyes when he shared some new wisdom or adventure with me!
The summers my siblings and I spent with him and Grandma Rita will forever live in my heart as some of my fondest childhood memories.
Rest in Peace Grandpa and may you continue to read your morning paper in heaven ❤
