Jeff, Cody, Briele and I (Debi) would like to send our deepest condolences to Uncle Fred, Mike, Jessica and Noah. Aunt Kathy had touched us all in positive and unique ways and I truly am grateful to have had the privilege to call her my Aunt. Her smile, kindness and such sweet demeanour will live on and such a great testament as to what kind of person she truly was.

Hello Fred, Michael, Jessica and Noah,
Kathleen is the best aunt that I had. She had an amazing sense of humor and will always remember her laugh. She always knew what was going on without having to explain to her in words how you felt. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Jeanette Merritt (Sister):
I loved my sister very much. We grew up together on Regent Street where we had many cherished memories together; time spent playing croquet in the backyard, and playing with our knitted dolls that our grand-mother, Maude Beaupre, had given us.
What makes our relationship so special was our time talking together on the phone; sharing our lives, problems and faith together. She was my spiritual buddy and I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with Fred, Michael, Jessica and Noah during this difficult time. May God provide you comfort to know that our Kathleen is now with him in Heaven.

One of my fondest memories of Kathy was going shopping with her for Jessica’s Wedding Shower. We were in the Party Store on Orfus Road rummaging through things, trying to match colours with the theme. It was a day of laughter and fun and getting to know each other. Jessica was marrying into a wonderful family with a really great mother-in-law who was kind, loving and so supportive, (not to mention Fred, a very quiet, easy going father-in-law). RIP Kathy, knowing you have raised an exceptional young man, Michael, who makes Jessica very happy and is a very devoted father to Noah.

Dave Ankenman (Brother):
Kathy and I grew up together in St. Thomas ON. We had so much fun together as Kids. She was my best friend. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario, and during one summer she got a summer job working at "Borden's" in Belmont On where I also worked one summer. Then after she graduated , she worked at IBM in Toronto where I also worked. I got an apartment in Scarborough so we shared the apartment. She met Fred there and started dating him then got married to him.
I will miss her so much and I am sure she is with the angels in heaven. I used to kid her a lot ... I told her all the time that she could "sell ice to the Eskimos". She had a great sense of humour , super smile , and easy to get along with. God bless you KATHY and you will always be in my prayers
