Aunt Mary was just simply one of a kind.
She entered a room and lit it up with her vibrant and fun personality and worked as hard as anyone could and had as much
fun as anyone could.
She wasn't half-way anything.
A force, is what you could say. Whether it was whacking Uncle Tom with a frying pan or singing and dancing the night away.
My brain is full of memories of Aunt Mary and they all have one common theme. The giving of herself to help others.
Here are some words that might spark memories in others....The Boathouse, Christmas baskets with pistachios, cookies, candies etc....she would hall this home from Dupont Street(Loblaws) and make sure we got it before Christmas....Lord Dufferin School, Cabbagetown, swimming, volleyball, singing, ceili's, putting her clocks 10 minutes ahead so she wouldn't be late for work, cabbage rolls and so on.
She is a beautiful soul.
Love you Aunt Marry.
There is one helluva' hoolie going on up in heaven right now.
Paul is greeting her and everyone else that is in my heart is there.
Paul, I know she likes music but no Jeff Beck....just sing-a-longs right now.
All the best in coping with this loss.
Love, Craig, Melissa, Connor, Julia and Ceili.

Kathy,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I remember her singing at ThorntonView and she seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.
I'll miss seeing you. Take care of yourself.

We are so sad to hear of our Aunt Mary’s passing. We have so many wonderful memories of her and she was such an important member of our family.
Aunt Mary was always the life of the party where she loved to sing and dance and enjoy being with her family and friends. We always looked forward to holiday celebrations. Aunt Mary always made them very special and memorable: every Christmas she lovingly gave the Bennett family a decorated hamper basket filled with an assortment of goodies including biscuits, candies, fruit and so many other treats. Summer time spent at the cottage and boat house at McRae Beach at Lake Simcoe was an annual tradition that brought all of us together. There are many fond memories of Aunt Mary swimming, going for boat rides, and just having fun with her loved ones.
While the years have come and gone, the memories will never fade. Aunt Mary is now in heaven, no doubt bringing smiles and laughs with our Mom, Dad, Gram, little Erin, Uncle Tom and Aunt Betty.
Here’s to you Aunt Mary. You were much loved and will be surely missed.
