I am deeply saddened about the loss of another Good One. My friend, Ted, since we were 15 yrs old. A best friend, what the true meaning of friend is. Ted was always so sweet, kind, considerate, friendly, compassionate and helpful. A real Man. A Gentleman. He was like a brother to me. There for me whenever I needed him. I have so many happy memories and good times with Ted that I will cherish forever. My family and I love him dearly. My deepest, heartfelt sympathy to Lois and family. He will be truly missed, especially his great smile.

As Ted’s niece it is so humbling to see all of these kind and wonderful words about my Uncle Ted. When I was young we moved away from Ontario and so didn’t see our family anymore. Uncle Ted and my Uncle Wayne (Ted’s older bro) came up to stay and live with us is Thompson. I remember sitting in the window watching and waiting for Uncle Ted to come. Then he would gladly have a sleepover with me after not too much arm twisting. Ted was the glue of our Boynton family. All of those special words about Ted, I always knew that-genuine and big hugs, kind, helping people, smiling, talk to anyone, hardworking, loved his family more then ever. We are all so very lucky to have him in our lives. Ted had the ability to listen and genuinely focus like you were the most important person in the whole world. You know at one time I even thought “wow I think I am Ted’s favorite” but little did I know, he treated everyone the same , told people he loved that he loved them and he made us all feel like we were the favorite and we mattered. The shock of this has not left me yet but I am comforted to know I will be able to share laughter and memories with Lois, Jenn, Erin and the rest of my family. The only shining light to this Covid is that our family had been doing Covid group calls and recently at the end of the year, Ted and Lois joined in. I am thankful for those calls❤️ RIP Ted, It is comforting to me to know you have my mom with you now. X0X0

My friend and confidante Ted. When i met Ted we hit it off famously. We liked the same things, like old cars and movies and food!!! Ted volunteered at the Courtice Community Centre and helped me do some fantastic breakfasts for over 120 people and was well liked by all the staff and volunteers. As everyone knows Ted had a 1956 Dodge Fargo truck and we went on many cruises and car shows. I remember one particular cruise night in Whitby on king street across from the firehall. Ted did a burnout that caused the street lights to vanish because there was so much smoke coming off the tires of his powerful little truck!!!!!! The best burnout i have ever seen!!! Ted could fix just about anything and had a knack with a paint brush and if called upon for advice or help was always there.I depended on him for help with my old car several times and he always came through. I am going to miss him greatly and i know that something in heaven must have broke down and God called him to fix it!!!!!!! Ted helped us renovate our whole house and worked for weeks painting and repairing until everything was perfect, that was a thing with Ted, it had to be perfect and done right. Mike Holmes could have learned a thing or two about doing it right from Ted!!!.He was a true blue friend all the way to the finish line and i will never forget and pray for him. I loved him like a brother and will miss him until i see him again in heaven.

I always remember Uncle Ted working either as a mechanic or on hobby jobs like an old car or reno's on someones house. When I was young and we were up at the cottage, one day we played a game of Risk. We had sat and played for most of the day when I was finally winning (not sure if he let me). I had trapped him in Australia and i toyed with him for about another hour and the whole time he never walked away. Afterwards he probably said something along the lines of "man, the things we do for children!" to Aunt Lois. Im sure he is watching us all from heaven and proud to have spent his life with such loving and caring people. I take some comfort in knowing that he has a healthy wife, children, their spouses and grandchildren. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. May you rest in peace, Uncle Ted.

Ted was one of a kind. He was a true friend to all of my family. We had so many fun times and crazy laughter every time we got together wither it be dinner, soccer or just fun game nights. He would spend hours working on his ford truck, landscaping or home repairs....but always had time to help friends and neighbours. Ted we will walk on level ground again one day.
