Oh Thomas, you left us far too early...still so much more to do. As your doting uncle, you gave me the confidence to become a parent myself, when I thought I was too far past the date, because our time together was glorious. Soccer fields and hockey arenas here/there/and everywhere, day-glo mini golf emporiums, scary park rides, good and not-so-good movies--I was lucky enough to have had those too-brief experiences. My boys adored you, right up until what would be their final play session with you only months ago, and you will be much missed by us all. We'll never stop anticipating for one of your signature pop-in visits. Bottomless love and thanks from myself, Lidia, and of course, Carter and Nathaniel...

I will remember Thomas as a boy, laughing and smiling with sparkling eyes and crooked teeth, like a child in a Norman Rockwell painting. I'll remember him playing on the swings in Iron Bridge with Stepheny, Liam, and Julianne on a summer afternoon while drinking Canada Dry taken from Poppa Bill's fridge. I'll remember him as a quiet, respectful man, always ready to listen to whatever his old uncle had to say for the occasion.
Even though I didn't see you as often as the years went by, I want you to know that you are loved and you will be missed, but you will never be gone from our memories. The Burns' family from Belleville--Gail, Liam, Julianne, Emily, Olivia all extend our deepest sympathies to the family.
