I will miss calling Ruthy on the phone and pretending to be a vacuum salesman or a duct cleaning service, she would catch on quite quick and laugh at me trying to pull a fast one on her. She was such a warm and fun person to be around and certainly quick of wit. I always marveled at how hard she worked at putting on a family get-together or organizing and facilitating a church function, of which I recall there being many. One of my many favorite memories of Ruthy is on Christmas morning. Her and Danny would get up super early to get a start on all the good stuff we'd consume that day. I would go into the kitchen and just hang out and chit chat as they toiled together like a well oiled machine with an awesome sense of humour. Too fun. Joy and I offer our love and heartfelt condolences to Paula and Francis, Andrea, Nancy and of course my outlaw nieces Eva, Mia and Sarah and to all the Girardi family. Ruth is not one to be forgotten anytime soon.

I am with a sad heart. Beautiful both inside and out. Paula, Andrea, Nancy and families. Your father was best friends to my husband George and Lloyd Hamilton. Now they are all together, Ruth along with Mrs Hamilton will keep them in line I am sure. So many memories go through my mind. So many fun memories. So much laughter. So much friendship to help me through my grief when my husband passed 40 years ago. They say memories are the foods that feed the soul. I will always remember. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. Much love and hugs from Calgary.

I knew Ruth well when she worked at McGregor Drugs, I worked for Dr. Rudell, so we ate our lunch together, at Coronation restaurant, many of us who worked up town at that time. Such a lovely lady, always smiling and she made you feel Special. I also got to see her at St. Paul’s lunches, etc. Always busy, happy in her work and her lovely smile cheered everyone. My husband Ralph Bowers, his Grandmother Susannah Armstrong was a sister to Sarah’s mother.....Ralph used to tease Ruth about being a distant relation. So sorry to see the notice today....Ruth will be so missed by Everyone.

Paula, Andrea, Nancy, Eva, Mia and Sarah, your mom/G-ma was precious. I have many fond memories of the many sleepovers (even on school nights) and get togethers at the Girardi household. I have been reflecting on many of those memorable moments and find myself chuckling and shedding tears at the same time. I remember Ruth’s voice over the intercom, usually calling us for dinner or to help with dishes. She always made me feel welcome and included. Like so many of my friend’s parents, I can not think about your mom without remembering your dad, too. Ruth and Dan were a match made in heaven and I could always count on your dad to have football on the TV lol. I am very grateful to your parents for opening their home, for allowing the many sleepovers and for making a lunch for me if sleepovers happened on school nights (such a simple thing that speaks volumes). It does take a village to raise a child. Thank you and bless you as you travel on this tough grief journey. Love and hugs to all.

Jim and I offer our sympathy to all of you. The Bragg family have for many years been a pillar of St. Paul`s Church. Your mom will be greatly missed by all of us. 'Chef Ruth' will always be remembered for church dinner`s which were cooked and served to perfection. I remember your mom working at McGregor Drug Store. She was such a striking looking young lady; always dressed to the nines, no wonder she attracted a young man named Dan. Take comfort in knowing that we share in your sorrow and rejoice in her memory. Hugs from afar, Margaret Coombes

To Ruth Girardi's Family.
Bob and I are very sorry for your loss of this very vibrant woman. She seemed to always have a simile on her face. She was willing to help with functions at the church. For many years she catered meals for the " Lunch Out" and other functions such as funeral lunches. May you be blessed with the many memories of her as they will help through your grief.
Blessings
Linda and Bob Richardson ( members of St. Paul's)
