Michaela, you were my sister from another mister LOOL! We made a pact that if you went, I would go too and since you passed since 2020 I’ve been at a loss of what to do or who to talk to or where to go. You were my bestest friend in the ENTIRE universe. I got to meet your babies. That’s what you always wanted was a family, to call your own. I miss my best friend, I miss my sister…. I know you are in a better place, watching over me and your beautiful daughter and son. I just hope your adoptive parents remind your babies of you, the good in you because you are the kindest person, most empathetic, selfless person I know to this day. I still message you, to this day hoping that you would reply, but I know you won’t. I miss you tremendously Michaela. I know you are in heaven, and you are finally at peace. Till we meet again in another lifetime bestie! You will never be forgotten, you are the only person I considered to be actual family, and I’m forever grateful God, introduced us to one another. Love you family ❤️❤️

Michaela spent much of her early life at my home being looked after by my mother before she was adopted. At the time I myself was only 10 years old but I remember thinking what a beautiful baby she was, Michaela brought so much joy to my family while at our home she truly was a gift from God.I can remember the day that Kim and Mike came to take her home. My heart was filled with complete sadness that she was leaving but at the same time I was so happy that she was going to join her forever family Kim and Mike you too are and always will be Michaela's Angels,I believe that the Lord brought her into this world to be your baby to be your daughter , the two of you and her babies are the best things that's ever happened to her and I'm so glad she got to experience true love here on Earth I pray that she will rest in peace in Paradise forever and always . please accept my condolences

You took your life too soon
So many things left unsaid
I wish I would have knew
I wish the signs I would have read
Now we cant get back the time
That is now forever lost
So many times I should have reached out to you, Now I'm paying the cost
I'm thankful I at least got to know a bit of you
I wish I could have learned the rest
The moment I found out you were gone
My heart ripped out of my chest
You had so much personality, you were beautiful but extremely tough
Even though you had incredible parents
You definitely had it rough
I couldn't imagine what you were thinking
In those very last moments on earth
It almost feels like yesterday
When I seen my sister giving birth
I was so happy when we reunited
It felt I was given another chance
If only i would have taken it more serious
I'm now stuck in a flashback trance
I wish I would have held you closer, & knew the words you wanted to hear
That would have prevented you from taking your life, & giving a chance to another year
There was so many things you taught me
You gave me my biggest lesson yet
Hold the ones you love tighter then ever
With you this is what I mainly regret
I should have put more effort in, I'm sorry I let you down
Maybe it you knew how much we all loved you
At this moment you would still be around
Too many unanswered questions, they've been floating around in my mind all day
At least your soul is at rest now
You would have turned 23 this May
Even though you chose to end your life
For ours you will always live on
Even if it's in the form of pictures & recordings
Your presence is the only thing that's gone

Growing up Michaela was my biggest style inspiration. She probably didn’t realize this, but I loved how she was always herself. I thought she was the coolest person in the world.
I was extremely shy and scared of what people would say about how I dressed or acted but Michaela always dressed how she wanted to. I loved her style it was dark/ edgy and I wanted to look just like her. I would copy everything she did, it was probably annoying to have someone copy you but instead of being annoyed she always smiled and encouraged me to feel comfortable with being different.
Michaela is a huge part of who I am today and I’m so grateful I had someone like Michaela in my life growing up. Michaela, Daniella, Trulee and I did so much together and I hold the memories we share so close to my heart. There was never a dull moment and I hope one day we will all be able to sing, dance, and laugh together again.
The last time I saw her, I dyed her hair blonde and we talked about all the things we did when we were little. I told her that she was my biggest style inspiration. The reason I am able to dress however I want and express myself no matter how much people made fun of me is because of her.
The thing I loved most about Michaela was her smile. I’m forever grateful that I had the chance to tell her what an impact she made and I got to see her smile one last time. I’ll never forget her smile.

I remember bringing Michaela home the first day with my Sister and Brother-In Law. So many emotions. Looking at her tiny face I promised her and my sister then I would always be there to help. I wasn’t always there. You were my angel when I needed you. You saved my life. I wish I could have been your angel and saved your life. Your love and talents dulled, your light dimmed your smile gone, your suffering ....too long. Rest now. We love you.

Oh, where do I begin. I have so many funny memories with Michaela so I’ll just share a few.
For starters the 4 of us ( my sister, Daniella, Michaela and I) thought we could be a famous singing group. So we decided to do a photoshoot outside of their house in the weirdest outfits and pick stage names! The best part is that we were so serious and thinking back to it, it’s one of my favourites memories.
Another funny memory is when all 4 of us got dresses from giant tiger and decided to do a photoshoot in the bathroom. Honestly, it was as if we thought this was for vogue magazine! It would appear that we loved to do photoshoots.
One time, Michaela and I wanted to scare Daniella by dressing up in mikes clothing and hopping the fence into the backyard (dani was in the basement so she could see us when we hopped over) we really thought she would get spooked but she just looked at us like “ uhhh... you guys are weird” - I love that memory so much.
My most recent memory is when I played with some makeup and gave Michaela a cotton candy smokey eye. Skyla dyed her hair blonde the same day! (as you can see in the photo attached) She looked and felt beautiful that day which makes my heart so happy.
I will hold onto these memories dearly.
Xx,
Trulee
