Very sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. My Sincere Condolences to all the family.
I worked with Chuck circa 1983-1986 at Merrill Lynch Canada in Toronto.
Chuck was a great guy. I can remember in 1984 or 85 while I was on vacation near Ottawa Chuck was in the area and came to visit at my cottage in Quebec. We had a great time.
Sincerely
Neil Carson

On behalf of all the Sun Life guys who played hockey with Chuck for many years, we are all shocked and deeply saddened to hear this terrible news of Chuck's passing. Chuck was great team-mate and friend - solid and strong in both character and build. We could always count on Chuck both on and off the ice. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

To Nicole, Jason and all of Chucks family, we send our deepest sympathy and condolences for your loss.
This is extremely sad, I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes knowing I won’t see my good friend again.
We have been friends for over 30 years and I’m going to miss him so much. He was such a good friend and impossible to replace.
Just to let you all know, I bumped into Chuck a few weeks ago when out for a walk with our dog, he was looking and sounding great and was heading home from a shopping trip.
We chatted for a while and arranged to meet up in a few weeks for a coffee, and to share news on family, friends and life in general. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see him again.
Life takes us on all sorts of adventures, and we get to spend time with some truly amazing friends over the years. I’m so glad we had the chance to spend a little time in Chucks life.
He will always be in me and my families hearts
Thinking of you all
Mike and Fiona Irvine and family. X

I worked with Chuck when we were both at Sun Life and after his move to IBM to support the Sun Life account. I know i speak for many of my Sun Life colleagues when I say it was a privilege to work with him. Chuck was incredibly bright (I think we all looked at him in awe as a mainframe demigod) but most importantly, he had so much integrity and was much respected and trusted. In situations where we had major technical issues, we knew that everything would be fixed and fine once Chuck got involved - either directly or by managing the situation behind the scenes. He was also always so calm which, in turn, had a calming affect on the rest of us. We will miss him. Our deepest condolences to his family.

Our 2 Families lived just 1 road apart growing up in Orono , so we had lots of contact with the Quantrill family and Chuck.
And our Family saw Chuck a great deal, as he was one of my Big Brother Doug's, best friends throughout public school, later at Clarke high school and onward into adults years, and then when the Guys started their own families.
So lots of fun was had with Chuck growing up, whether it be @ the local Arena, or on a Hockey Bus Trip, all just hanging out in the basement of our home, or often at the Quantrill's playing ping pong, on a spare in Clarke High School's cafeteria, and many other good times for sure.
On behalf of my Mother Marilyn, myself and my Husband Paul, I wanted to pass on our condolences to Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Quantrill, Chuck's Children Nicole and Jason and all other family members.
We are all thinking of you at this difficult time. Chuck will certainly, be greatly missed!

Such fond memories. One trip ,in particular, stands out. A 23 year old Chuck travelled with us by bus to Smuggler's Notch, Vermont. Skiing right up the patio door of the chalet we pushed our skiis into the snow for a comfortable backrest and enjoyed lunch outdoors in bright sunshine with a jug of cheap Californian plunk. Later that evening our ambitious plans for the apres-ski nightlife were never realized after a spaghetti supper all three of us feel asleep by the fire in our snowpants. Life seemed so simple then.
You will be sorrowfully missed Chuck.

Ian and I send our love and deepest condolences. May the memories of the good times bring comfort. I will always picture Chuck riding his flashy little sports car and remember riding with him on his motorcycle . He was a true gentleman and the big brother of a best friend. He was smart and kind in his quiet way. I wish all of his family and friends peace. - Lorraine and Ian Mann

Dear Jason, Nicole, Kevin, Mr. And Mrs Quantrill, Karen and family,
We are so very saddened by the passing of Chuck. Our deepest condolences to all of you. Over the years, we have spent a lot of great times with Chuck. As couples, we've been on some wonderful trips together (Mexico, Cuba and Las Vegas). For many years, we held our annual family Christmas parties with the Boyce's and Quantrill's, such special memories. We've spent many cottage weekends at Chandos Lake and Salmon Lake together and they were always filled with so much laughter and fun. Chuck was such a great guy and will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Love,
Kerry, Shari, Ryan and Samantha Jones
