Fred was the most outgoing and warm people I have ever had the pleasure to meet - I have very fond childhood (and thankfully more recent) memories of the big man and his enthusiasm for all things, especially people (and talking). Always chatting, always in a cap and always smiling and chuckling.
The world seems smaller without him, but am sure he's found some old and new friends up there to chat with about all we're doing and is probably already trying to wangle a return trip to see everyone.
Stephen/Kristine - am deeply sorry for your and your greater family's loss - will email you now Stephen so you have my details and hopefully get to see you guys next time I come over.
