I had the extreme pleasure of knowing your Dad when he was a truck driver delivering to GM. I worked in the cafeteria, so he always came in while his truck was being unloaded. He was the sweetest, kindest, most gentle man. He spoke of you often, David. When he travelled to Switzerland, he returned with a traditional bell & a pair of slippers for me. How thoughtful he was
The world will be a less friendly place with his passing. That smile, that laugh, always at the ready (he laughed at my corny jokes).
I thought of him often.
Stay close & please stay well. You're in my thoughts.

I had the pleasure of working with Jimmy for several years at Yellow Freight. He always came in with a smile and a laugh and our customers were always happy to see him. My condolences to the family. Steve Vanelst

Sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed chatting with James when I'd meet him at the mall, more so in his retirement from Yellow Freight to tell me what he'd been up to. He used to deliver to my work, Dennison previously on Baseline in Bowmanville. He was a kind, pleasant man to speak with.

Jim has had a special place in our hearts for many years! I am grateful for that and the heartfelt memories ...
Remember the 80th birthday party at Bow. Creek, that we celebrated?!? We had such a good time! ...the beautiful room, balloons, food, cake, and, above all, the gathering of people sharing and laughing together!
The barbecues in Jim's back yard have left forever memories of great social times!
How many times did we gather for meals?!? ...in St. Joseph's Church hall, many Theology on Taps, various restaurants, Bow. Creek dining room, ... There were a number of times we would be eating out, and we 'bumped into' Jim and David at the same place (e.g. Tim Horton's)!
We pray for Jim now that he is not suffering, and is at peace with God, and his Ruth! He meant SO much to his family, friends, and to this community!
May LOTS of love, memories, and prayers continue to keep this gentle, caring, loving person 'alive' in all of our hearts!
Rest in peace, dear Jim!
Love,
Michelle Lange & our Church community of friends
