I'm so sorry, Joe, to learn of your mother's passing. I find myself oddly smiling back at her beautiful photo, perhaps because I can see in her smile and bright, sharp eyes a mirror to your own.
I know your ability to gather as a family and within your community will be complicated and delayed by present circumstances, and I'm sorry for that too. I trust that you'll bridge the distances until you can relish the comfort of being together with your loved ones to celebrate your mother's life. What a lucky mom to have had you for a son.

I want to send heartfelt condolences to the entire Dalrymple family during this time of grief. We have so many wonderful memories of Dal and Georgie from our time in Bowmanville. The attached photo from Dal's retirement party has moved with me many times over the years but every time I see this picture it reminds me of what wonderful people they were and how well they treated my brother and I when we would visit them. Joe, Leslea and families: I was very sorry to hear that Georgie passed away. She was a dear friend. When I first came or Bowmanville to work for OMAF, Georgie and Dal took me under their wing, had me over for dinner and even took me camping. Their kindness was so appreciated. In later years Georgie and I shared a few lunches at her home catching up on family news...somehow she always seemed to already know about my news! I will always have fond memories of Georgie, Dal and their family.

My family and I have many great memories of Georgie and Dal growing up and Georgie was nice enough to come to my father's retirement from OMAFRA. Joe, Leslea and families we want to pass on our sincerest condolences on learning of the passing of your Mom.
We have so many fond memories of both your Mom and Dad during our time living in Bowmanville which now seems like so many years ago.
Your Mom was especially helpful to Marlene when we first came to Ontario in 1970 and we will always remember that help that she gave. Her warm smile and pleasant greeting that she always gave whenever we saw each other will always be remembered.
