A prayer for you Dad.
Lord, You are always with us.
We know you are present with us now.
That gives all of us, Dad's family and friends, immense comfort Lord.
Dad, we know you are in our presence too.
Our tears, our sorrow, are real.
And it hurts.
But knowing you are no longer suffering Dad, and no longer have to fight medical challenges and battles, helps a little to ease our pain.
With recent health and medical news you received Dad, God knew it was time to take you home.
To ease your pain. We hated to see you suffer.
We all prayed for your health to improve.
You fought hard. That's no surprise.
I wish I had one more visit. One more phone call with you Dad.
I didn't tell you enough what you meant to me and to all of us.
I wish I had one more moment with you Dad.
And, I do.
You are with God. And I will make my wish come true.
To talk with you every day Dad.
Till I, till we, can stand with you again.
Lord, please comfort, guide and protect my Dad. As only you can.
Lord, please embrace my Mum. Please embrace the entire family.
And comfort us. As only you can.
Today, thoughts of Dad bring tears.
We all know, there will be a tomorrow when those thoughts bring a smile.
Many smiles ~ that will fill our hearts with joy.
Thank-you Dad for all you do for each of us.
You will always be with us Dad.
In our present and in our future.
Thank-you Lord for all you do.
For comforting, guiding and protecting my Dad as only you can.
We all thank-you for all you do for all of us.
Thank-you Lord for your presence and for being with us.
I love you Dad. We all love you Dad.

Josie and family, we are so sorry to hear of Alex's passing. I loved having coffee with him and the boys in the coffee room years ago and have missed those mornings. For sure he will be missed by a lot of people. Thinking of you. Mike and Lynn Cummins.

Thinking of Aunt Josie, Robert, Maeghan, Katie and families and Donna, George, George, Michael and families on the sad loss of Uncle Alex.
Fond memories of times spent with him on my visit to Canada and their visits home to Scotland.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
