Obituary of Klaas Woudsma
KLAAS WOUDSMA
DECEMBER 29, 1925 – MARCH 14, 2020
Our dear father, friend, confidante and mischief maker has passed away to be with his Lord, surrounded by his loving family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa
Dad will be joyfully singing and either playing his accordion or a mouth organ! Survived by his children Joanne, Robert (Elizabeth), Alice (John) De Vries and David (Karin), his 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and brother Henk (Irene). His step children Joanne Hammers (Peter), Elaine (Terry) Rypstra, Anita Carty & Paul (Cindy) Hammers. He was predeceased by his wife Jannetje and second wife Diny, brothers Frits, Jan, Reitze, Jelle and sister Geer.
Klaas will be missed by many of the people who he would speak Friesian with. People from Maranatha CRC in Bowmanville and the many friends that he made at Durham Christian Homes.
Klaas considered himself blessed to have lived 94 years and he thanks his Lord for all that he had here on earth. His words are “My life has been a good life. My life has been carried by the Lord in ups and downs, through it all. The Lord always let me smile and be an optimist.”
Due to the unforeseen health concerns surround Covid-19, we sadly announce that the visitation and funeral have been cancelled. A Private Family Service will be held. Anyone wishing to send condolences to the family may do so online or by sending a card to the funeral home.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Klaas
