A night I probly shouldn't remember but know I'll never forget.
Klaus as most if not all of you know was easily the biggest stones fan on the planet. Over a few thousand drinks at my place one night after all but myself and maybe a couple others had left we got to dropping the needle on Sticky Fingers which I had recently gotten a copy of and I was rambling about it being my fave stones record. Loved "Can't you hear me knockin " to which he replied it was one of his fave albums as well. However he preferred side B. Specifically "Dead Flowers". I will never forget Klaus singing that song to me, false southern accent and all. And to this day it remains my fave stones tune also.
Klaus, you and your whole family have made an eternal impression on me. You supported me when Adam and I started a band together... we'd riff about being rhythm players but with style. Totally stoking my confidence. In many ways a father figure in that you helped me to feel confident in my playing and/or ability.
I love you like my own man. You will forever live on in me specifically as an inspiration and above all else a cherished friend.
"I won't forget to put roses on your grave".
Farewell my friend and know that the people you've influenced however insignificant it seemed at the time made a lasting and significant impression. RIP brother. And a most sincere thank you.

I play hockey with the group of guys that follows Klaus and his group. We are all saddened by your loss. I would often see him in the parking lot, surrounded by friends. He always met you with a friendly nod, or "hello" and you could tell he loved being at the arena. Once again, we are sorry for your loss and wish you comfort in these difficult times.
