We send our sincere sympathy to all of Mary Bell's family. She was a dear person and we always loved it when she came to Tucson and spent time with us. We had many Tuesday dinners together and her attendance made every one just a little happier. We loved her dearly and we know you, her family will miss her a great deal. Love from "The sisters" Iris Rattenborg, Lida and Jan Shoemaker.

My dearest Mary, I will miss our chats over tea, our walks, our shopping trips where we both bought the same shirt, ordering pizza, and your beautiful smile. Much love, Bonnie xo

I will try to put on some lipstick, hold my head high, smile and laugh like she always seemed to be able to do...but I know apart of me will always feel sad and ache with her not here. My grandmother was a classy, stylish, intelligent, sassy, independent, open minded, beautiful woman. She was one of my biggest supporters, she encouraged me to be strong and independent. Without our visits/talks and her guidance I don't know what I would have done. I will miss our tea dates and the inevitable laughs that always came with them. I love you Gma and will miss you always XoXo

Dear Auntie Mary, how does one begin to say goodbye? When we were growing up I was the only girl in a sea of boys, and you were always there for me. You were the first one there when we lost my father. Always kind and loving, you were such a beautiful soul. I treasure the relationship we had, all of the memories and all of the laughs. You were so very special to me.
Love you forever xoxoxoxo
Love Susie

Mary aka Mama & Grandma
You were an amazing, loving woman in my life and you always will be. I’m thankful that you were there for me and your grand daughter Alex Bell when we needed you the most. You taught me to be strong, independent and also to live life and not to dwell on the negative parts. You opened heart not only to me but also to my husband Danny and my boys Daniel & Tyler where you accepted them as your own grand kids and loved them. Mama I will miss our talks and laughs that we would have with a cup of tetley tea ( not red rose).
You will always be loved, missed and never forgotten.
As I would say “ love you mama and I will see you once again” Love You Madlena & Family

Mary was a special person, in my life.
She was, and always will be someone very near, and dear to me. I learned much from her over the years.
I will especially miss the witty Mummy-Daughter banter we always had when together. I will treasure these memories forever.
A better grandmother to my children, I could not have hoped for. She was the real deal.
I know you are dancing with the other angels above, and watching over all who loved you and whom you loved.
Til we meet again xo.

My grandma meant so much me. She was a beautiful woman. She always had her nails painted, and she wouldn't let you take a picture without her lipstick on. She collected Barbies, and sometimes I was able to touch the ones in the glass case- which made me feel special. She tought me so much... how to be a lady. We went on adventures together, saw plays together... travelled. Had sleep overs and watched movies. She took her time with me. Taught me how to knit and cook certain dishes. Shared memories of her past that she knew I would love to hear of. She wrote, a lot. Always had a journal around to write of her days and endeavors. She was so special to me. I will miss her more than words can explain
I love you, Grandma. I am so sorry.
