I remember growing up and my parents playing your albums on Sunday after church. I have been trying to find some of the Sellwood Singers (SS) songs on u-tube, with no success. I did come across the Heritage Quartet group (on u-tube) who sound very similar to the SS. What really started me on my journey to find your songs was the group of female gospel singers 'Shekinah' who I heard at a church service while visiting Bracebridge in Sept 2019.
Only today I googled 'Sellwood Singer gospel music' and came across news of Reed's passing. Rest in peace, until we all meet in paradise. God will blessing the family and give you all strength to move forward.

Kathy, so sorry to hear of Reed's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Reed at Ontario Hydro implementing a new work management system in Georgian Bay Region. It is with a sad heart that I mourn the loss of my former brother in law of over 30 years His passing reminds me of the brevity of life here and the assurance we have of eternity with our Saviour in heaven. I am certain his life and faith were an inspiration to.many. I will miss him but know I will see him again. My condolences to Kathy and family.

Dear Kathy;
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had many a pleasant conversation with Reed on our Sunday morning commutes to worship practice. He was a man who loved his Lord, his wife and music. I'm thankful to have had the privilege to get to know him and yourself, before your move away from Barrie. Kathy, like you, I'm so profoundly grateful that Reed knew here, and now sees face to face, our Risen Saviour! May you find peace in the assurance of God's faithful promises in this difficult time.

Kathy...we are sorry to hear of Reed's passing. We've been remembering all the good times we had as part of The Sellwoods and spending time with you and Reed in your various homes. We were saying that in all our times together, we don't remember ever seeing Reed in a bad mood or cranky. He was always a great friend and mentor. We'll miss him!
