Although we were cousins Roger was the big brother that I always wanted. We were brought up together and I have SO many lovely memories of our childhood. He was my Hero and my husband, Tom, and I have so much respect for the way he bravely fought all his medical problems over the years. Today our thoughts are with Chris and all the family and we send all our Love from Southport UK.
Rest in Peace Rog. No more pain
Much Love
Cheryl and Tom xxx

Dear Emma and Olivia, I am saddened to hear of the passing of your wonderful grandfather. I will always remember him and your grandmother joining us on our class trips the years you were each in my grade 2 class. He was a lovely person and was devoted to the two of you. You can always be proud to have had him in your lives. Thinking of your family at this time. Mme Monteiro xo

My Sincere Thoughts, Prayers and Sympathy To the Wharmby Family.
When I met Roger, many years ago, thru the Kidney Support "Coffee Club", he helped me in many ways, at the darkest times of my life. Roger gave me HOPE, he was a KIND, DECENT man, who believed in helping others by sharing his experience, knowledge thru volunteering thru the Canadian Kidney Association and much, much more ...
At that time I was dying, being treated for kidney failure by PD Dialysis (4-5 Yrs) and on the Kidney/Pancreas Transplant list with TGH (University Health Network). Previously being treated for Type I Diabetes (24 or 26 yrs), treatment for depression and other health issues. March 7th 2017, I received a KIDNEY/ PANCREAS, thru TGH and remained there for almost 3 months due to complications. I survived, but still suffer from depression & complications due to anti-rejection medications (hair loss, premature aging, memory loss, tumours pre-CANCER, and other issues). My life has not turned out as I hoped, but I am still here, living "ONE DAY AT A TIME". Eventually I would like to return as a Volunteer, sharing my knowledge and experience, like Roger to help and comfort other people. Giving others HOPE, that there is the possibility of HOPE for their future.
Roger, you have always been in "My Thoughts and Prayers, you were and will always be "My Angel" …
Roger will forever always be my friend, always in my heart and always be my memories.
"I am still here, still "ONE DAY AT A TIME" .. Lorraine Wilton
