Terry was a wonderful teacher and shared that gift with many, many students. I believe he touched many lives in with his skill, dedication, and presence to others. He accompanied me when I prepared for university auditions on trumpet; later, after an injury that stopped me pursuing that instrument, I took several piano lessons from him. During those lessons he gave me the tools to pursue the piano, an instrument I eventually studied at university instead of the trumpet. Those lessons were not many but they opened a path that had felt closed. I am so saddened to hear of his passing and I will be praying for his family and his loved ones.
