Bill and I were firefighters at CFB Kingston from 79 to his retirement. Lived loved and built an aircraft that was fabulous. I learned so much from him and enjoyed so much hanging around with Bill especially when we flew to Oshkosh. Will miss him he was such an amazing man. R I P Bill.

I used to deliver newspapers to Mr. Calver and his wife. Meeting him changed my life, sitting with him in the garage or in the basement hearing stories about the war and his time at A.V.Roe. He is the reason that I work in aviation today, I looked to him like a grandfather and mentor. My deepest condolences in your loss, he will be greatly missed.

Bill was my neighbour and friend for fifteen years. He would make paper airplanes for my son when he was little, and fixed the girl's bikes a few times, as well. I will miss our conversations about history and the Avro Arrow, and sharing a beer together on warm summer nights. Be at peace, Bill <3

Bill, will be missed by the staff and friends of the Port of Newcastle Marina ,whom listened to his stories and enjoyed his crusty humour. The navy rum "pussers" will be always a funny reminder of a funny character we all called a friend. "Pusser Bill"

Our sincere sympathy in the passing of your Dad. We have known Bill for a long time & Larry always sat with Bill at the Legion. He was a great man & we also knew Ulva prior to their marriage.
