I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jean during my first year at Central. She was in her final year of teaching. She was a great mentor and knew where everything was....especially in the Library. She was a great educator and a wonderful person.

To the Welsh Family,
Sorry for your loss of a lovely lady. Her infectious smile and laugh were a joy to behold. My best memories of her were with the St. Paul's players and camping at Schamerhorn's in our first years in Bowmanville. Then in later years when I was Pastoral Care Worker were the memories of conversations with her when we did visited others. Your memories will help you journey along the path of grief. Your family is held in Bob and my thoughts and prayers
Blessings

Dear Larry and adult children; I am so sorry to read of Jean's passing. Jean was always very kind and welcoming to us at St. Paul's. I enjoyed knowing her and discussing school stuff with her over the years. I remember one summer, Paul and I were in Quebec City and there you were with Jean! Such a long distance surprise.
She was a lovely, kind, person and friend, whose passing will be felt by many. Our sympathies to all of you.

So sorry to hear that Jean passed away. We attended Courtice Secondary together. I had just been re-acquainted with her as we had lunch together with some of the Bowmanville Curves ladies and added her as a friend on Facebook.

Mrs. Welsh was a kind and generous 'mom' to all of us. I've know her since Laurel (her daughter) and I were students at Guelph. Mrs. Welsh always welcomed our entire crew into her home and family. Her grace was only equaled by her strength of character and dedication to her family. She was a true lady and I know she will be missed by many. Her legacy and that of Mr. Welsh are well and truly alive in her children and grandchildren who share her pride and commitment to family. All my love.

It is very hard for me to find the words to express the feelings we had for Jean. The Baker farm was where we wanted to visit when we were growing up. We have so many fond memories to cherish of Jean and her siblings at the Baker farm in Solina.
Jean was a beautiful soul. Gone too soon and will be missed by all who loved her....
Thinking of you Larry, your children and grandchildren, and all of the Baker family... hoping you know your sorrow is shared by those who deeply care.....Sincerest Condolences!

I will miss Jean very much. We were both members of Curves for over ten years and she became part of our coffee group which met twice a week. She willingly volunteered to help with the Christmas Hampers for the St. Vincent de Paul food bank for the past three years. I spoke to her just two weeks ago before we left on holiday. She had such a positive outlook on life and liked to laugh.
You are now with the angels dear friend.
My deepest condolences to Larry, her children and grandchildren. God bless you all.
