Mrs. Brown, Bruce, David, Janet, and Jill. So sorry to hear about Mr. Brown's death. It came as quit the surprise as I ran into Jill at the Bowmanville Hospital. I have many fond memories of life at the Browview farm from my high school years hanging with Jill like climbing the silos, making mazes in the hay, kicking the bull calves, and cleaning the milk tank. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love Janet, Robert, and Nicole French xo

Gerry, a valued member of the PITS during his years at Harmony Ranch, was a kind and generous man. He was more than happy to provide all the corn for our PITS corn roasts, serving hundreds of cobs to the entire Harmony Ranch membership. He and Shirley were warm and caring neighbours and I will always remember their support when I needed a shoulder.

I have fond memories of our conversations at the Pits campfire. Gerry was so knowledgeable on the subject of farming. I know so little about it and found his insight fascinating. I have referred to these conversations many times when discussing the farming industry with friends. I almost sound like a know what I am talking about...thanks to Gerry. I think about Gerry and Shirley frequently, when I gaze across the field, in our circle at Harmony Ranch.
Our deepest condolences to Shirley and Gerry’s extended family.

Dad planted his corn rows astonishingly straight. If it were possible for archaeologists to dig up corn rows 1000 years from now they would certainly believe they had found the first farmer to have GPS guidance in his tractor.
He also loved music and stories that tickled his sense of humour. This one's for you Dad.
Up until the early 80’s Dad and Mom looked after 7 acres of orchard. It was important to hire the right employees. Dad knew that at the heart of the matter:
-the main variety of apples he grew were Macs.
- the trees were made of Wood,
- Bees were important for pollination,
Dad would not have missed the irony that their principal apple pickers were:
-Betty Mac klin,
-Wilameina Wood,
-and his Aunt Bea;
Rest in peace Dad
or
Check your pocket.
Your tractor keys are there.
