Our hearts go out to all of Al's family and friends. Janice, Cindy, and Dennis: look for comfort in the knowledge that your Dad was highly respected, loved and valued by every circle in which he moved.
From his days in the wholesale food business, to his long involvement with The Knights of Columbus, their TV Bingo, St. Joe's Parish: his contributions were important, and his commitment and energy never waned. All of these groups (and undoubtedly more of which I am not aware) are stronger because of his presence.
Al was also actively involved in the service club community in Bowmanville. He was a staunch promoter of interaction and cooperation with the various service groups - he made them better.He was a leader among leaders, and a great mentor. Rest peacefully, friend.

A l and indeed Marilyn were a remarkably generous couple in the St. Josephs church community. In my time they supported every church community event. Al introduced me to the K of C 6361. He ran the TV Bingos and used the funds raised to support our local hospital, women's shelter etc. He was a friend and we are sad that he has not had the best of health in the last while.
