I met Vi when I was on the original older adults feasibility committee with the then Town of Newcastle in 1991. She had a huge sense of humour and a golden heart. She also made the best chocolate cookies that she often delivered to me in person. I feel fortunate to have known Vi and called her friend. My sincere sympathies to Vi’s entire family. She was truly a treasure.

Lois & Murray, Ken & Cindy, and your families. My deepest, heartfelt condolences to all of you. An end to the incredibles Ladies of Solina & Courtice. Your Mom, Grandma was such a vibrant outgoing woman who loved her family and was proud of each of you. Her church, community & seniors centre were her passion. Dear Lois, Ken and family:
So sorry for the loss of your dear Mom, Vi! We have so many great memories - the rides to Bradley's school - the Solina group visit with us here in Lark Harbour, NL and the chats with her at the events that we were home for. Always a pleasure to meet her.
May all of your good memories comfort you now and always.
Condolences to all of the family, Mabel and Kevin.

One of the dearest ladies and hardest workers I have ever known. Such a privilege to have grown up in the Solina community knowing her and working beside her. She taught, she led, she mentored, she gave her all to any project (and there were many!) that she touched. And she was always so organized keeping immaculate records! Cooked and baked like no one else.
May she rest in peace after her productive and busy life, and may the wonderful memories you hold so dear, bring you comfort and joy in time. She has been and will continue to be missed.
