I was just told of Henk,'s passing. It hit me pretty hard. We became very good friends over the years. Early on I suffered from addiction, but Henk always treated me with respect and dignity. He was a good man, a master Organ builder and Custom Home builder as well. We did a lot of work together over the years. My dad always said" if you really want to know a man, work with him for a few days". I treasure the times we had, and the jokes he used to tell. Lots of laughter over the years as well. God bless you my friend. All the best to Anneke and Family.

So sorry to hear of Henk's passing! My sister Dietz {Henk's sister-in-law)called to tell us the sad news.
Henk and I shared a great love for the "King of Instruments". I used to occasionally play the Port Hope United Church pipe organ for which Henk built the console. Coincidentally I was listening to pipe organ music on YouTube when I heard about Henk.
Anneke, Lolly and I are very sorry for you loss! Henk was such a fine man and will be dearly missed.
Love,
Tony & Lolly Prinzen

While I'm not sure if I had ever met Henk in years past, apparently he had worked with my father ( the late Ted Amting )
years ago ( late 50's early 60's ) soon after they had both came to Canada.
Just recently Henk had been in touch with me to help him on an upcoming project he had going on this summer.
I was looking forward to meeting him and maybe hear some stories from years gone by.
I was so sad to hear of his sudden passing..
My thoughts and prayers for Henk's family.

Sad to hear about uncle Henk. So many great memories- working on school science projects (grade 4 at Immanuel, we built an “automatic bedmaker” together).
Love thinking back on all the great summers at the cottage on riverside drive, too!
Henk will be missed; love to you family. My heart is with you today.
