Dear Greg, Lorraine, Wayde, Lynn and families; We were so sorry to hear re the passing of Aunt Lois, and so suddenly too. We will remember her fondly and we will miss her. We were so glad to get to spend some time with her when Greg and Lorraine brought her down to NS this past summer, and our evening out together over a meal at the Seaside Shanty in Chester. We looked forward to Aunt Lois and Uncle Art's annual visits from Oshawa -they always stopped in and visited Mom and Dad, and stayed with Ruby and Lorne for a few days before or on route back from the camp in Yarmouth. We have enjoyed some nice family reunions through the years as well. I will always remember fondly Aunt Lois's quick wit, her liberal mind/feminist views ( so unique and refreshing for her generation) and the long letters we wrote back and forth for about 20 years, catching up on news. She was so proud of her family -always talked about you all in her letters and usually enclosed pics of you as well, especially re her wonderful grandchildren and what they were up too. She loved you all so much. I am sorry for your loss, and the loss of Uncle Art not too long ago as well-they are reunited once again. I believe her passing at this stage was a blessing, as she , and family, would have had a difficult course ahead with her health challenges. Thank you all for the loving care you provided to her in recent years when she needed your help. I loved Aunt Lois very much and will miss her. I am pleased to have taken great pics of our time together this summer, which I will forward to you by text. We plan on making a donation in her memory to an identified charity. Love to all from Carmen/Wayne and family, Kim/Jordan, Darren/Alicia, Donalda and Wayne Johnstone, and Ruby and Lorne Johnstone and family. Take care of yourselves and each other, and keep in touch!! xo

We are saddened by Lois’s death.
Larry remembers her from childhood visits as Lois was one of his Mother’s very best friends.
We always enjoyed visiting Lois and Art, lots of fun and reminiscing.
Lois was a grea.t, kind, generous hostess.

So many great memories of the summer visits to Thomas street with Aunt Lois, Uncle Art, Greg and Wayde. or waiting for that red Merc to pull in the driveway in St Margarets Bay. You were always so welcoming and motherly to us as kids. And later when I Visited with Carla, and later visits to the Shack in the Kempt with our Children. Although it was never like a visit and more like coming home. I will always remember interesting conversations that started with What if ? or Would you? and hand written letters that were composed over days. Thank you for the fond memories
