So sorry for your loss. He was a great man and was a part of our family all my life. Pat and my father Doug Hughes grew up together. My parents thought the world of Pat and Brenda as did myself and my husband and the rest of my syblings. He will be always be in our hearts and greatly missed.

Your father was a great inspiration to many people. I first met him December 17, 1977, which was my Mom's first AA meeting, which co-incidentally was your Dad's AA birthday and they were having cake.My Mom and he fast became friends and shared their AA birthdays, and he later introduced her to her soon to be husband Luke/Donny Prout, although he did warn her about Luke beforehand!. Pat and your Mom before she passed, spent many a time at our place and was always such a gentleman. He always welcomed me with a hug and a kiss and after my husband passed away he sat with me and grieved too. Such a loss to your family, the Bowmanville community, and the AA community.

Dear Dan and Family, I was deeply saddened to hear about Pat's passing. A man truly larger than life barely begins to describe Pat. Both Ronnie and I shared many happy times and laughter with him.
