Minnie Evers- a Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Volunteer Extraordinaire
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
Minnie became a Memorial Hospital Volunteer in January 1977. She was a caring, dedicated, hardworking volunteer with a delightful sense of humour. Everyone that volunteered alongside her only had remarkable words to say about her.
Minnie helped wherever she saw a need; whether it was volunteering for a shift at the Perk Central Coffee Kiosk, the New to You Shoppe, bake sales, Christmas bazaars or knitting shawls for the patients who felt chilly. She saw many changes through the 41 years as the hospital expanded to become Lakeridge Health Bowmanville.
We are saddened by Minnie’s death as is everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
However, she will last forever in our memories.
