We are just shattered that our John has passed away for ourselves. However, our hearts, broken as they may be, go out to Jenn, Owen and Ethan who have lost a terrific husband and step-dad. Those broken hearts also go out to my sister Lois ,Paul, Anne Marie and all their immediate family members. Our sadness is great but our love is greater. We hope to help you all as you go through this process of a great loss.

I didn't know John or his precious family but know his mother Lois' & her family 'particularly John's aunt Kathy Powers. I've loved them all!!

My deepest condolences to Johns family. When I first started working in the unit, John went out of his way to make me feel welcome. He was always such a great guy to work with, and an incredible and devoted nurse. The ICU was lucky to have him, we were all lucky to share time with him! My heart is heavy with sadness.

Truly an amazing man...a man who loved every part of his life and so proud of his family.
The best "hide and seek" player ever. Growing up across the road from John gave way to many summer nights outside playing well after the street lights came on....

I think of meeting those two darling boys when they were first born and you were visiting Bill and Kerri. I remember you and I speaking that day, a conversation I will treasure. I remember saying that I felt our children were special angels gifted to us, but aren’t all children! Never did I think they’d be having a Step-Father as special as the one you chose for them watching over them so early. We know not why God has called John home so early Jenn, and I am confused like everyone else. I promise, I will pray for clarity and strength for you and the boys. And for Kerri, she is heartbroken.
