Hi,
My sincerest sympathies for the loss of Mark.
You dont know me, and likely never heard of me either.
I was good freind of Mark's from the time we met at age 13 in Alta Vista public school until our early/mid twenties, afterwhich we sort of lost touch with one another. A mutual freind you might know is Steph Gauvin.
Mark always seemed to the rest of us one step ahead in ideas, knowledge and even ability, though we hated to acknowledge that back then!. He was a lad/man of many diverse talents and a good sense of humour (I notice you mentioned his aptitude for the cerebal as well as practical, and could not agree more). I could shoot myself now for taking so long to google Mark, I should have done so years ago. Again my deepest condolences, I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Best Regards, Don.

It was such a shock to hear the sad news of Mark's passing - He was taken too soon...
Mark was a great friend, mentor and co-worker. I will always remember fondly the great times we had, both at work and at the cottage. He will forever be in the memory of those who knew him.

I wish I could take part in the celebration of Mark's life, but am based in New Brunswick. Mark made a significant impact on me as a work colleague due to his passion for making wrongs right, and for always taking the high road.
