Obituary of John Claire Syer

After a brief battle with cancer, peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, with his family by his side, on Saturday July 7, 2018 at the age of 66.

Beloved husband of Karen for 42 years. Loving father of John (Erin), Aaron (Megan), Brian (Kelly), Stephanie (Adam), Matthew (Katelyn) and Mark (Ashlee). Proud Papa of Logan, Dylan, Ethan, Noah, Hailey, Preston, Sophie, Rhys, Hannah and Lucas. Dear brother of Bruce (Grethe).   He will be missed by his four-legged friend, Gradi.

Special thank you to all the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa – ICU and Toronto General Hospital – ICU for their exceptional care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street Bowmanville on Wednesday July 11th from 2- 4 & 6 – 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday July 12th at 1 pm, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.  Memorial Donations may be made to Autism Canada or Canadian Diabetes Association.
