My parents moved to Bowmanville in the 1950's. It was during this time they met two wonderful people, Arline and Lloyd Ayre. That was the beginning of a special friendship that would last over 50 years. My parents moved back to Owen Sound in the 60's but the miles would not keep these friends apart. My sister and I have many fond memories of our visits ito Bowmanville and Newcastle and we loved it when the Ayre family visited us.
It was always enjoyable to sit and listen to Lloyd's humorous stories about the times he and Arline shared with my parents back in the 'good old days.'
It's important to look back with laughter and happiness at the great blessings in our lives. Lloyd always did that..
