I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Anyan. She was my teacher at Vincent Massey and was my favourite teacher throughout my school years. She was fair and kind to all her students and touched my life in an exceptional, memorable way. I am so thankful she is at peace with our Lord. May God bless the family.

My heart felt condolences to her family. Joan and I worked together for many years at Waverley PS. Joan supported all of her students and staff with a happy smile and a positive, "We can do this!!!" attitude, whether it was new curriculum, new policies or computers. Computers were a big challenge for many of us back in the 80s. Joan never wavered in her desire to tackle this new challenge. As librarian she instilled the love of reading through her ability to keep abreast of her students' interests.
Many happy memories

Joan was the librarian at Waverly Public school when I first met her. All three of our
daughters went to Waverly but only the our two oldest girls knew " Mrs. Anyan."
Our girls did enjoy going to the the Library. As part of my volunteer time at Waverly
I did help out in the library. This was a time when computers were not as fast nor as available
as they are now. Joan always had a ready smile and a word of encouragement. When St. Paul's and Trinity
started doing activities together , Bob and I were able to reconnect with this special lady again.
We are so sorry for the family in the loss of Joan in their life.
Blessings to all the family
Linda Richardson

Very sad to hear of Mrs. Anyan's passing. She was such a lovely lady, who brought much joy to many children throughout her career. She was neighbours with my Grandparents and spoke at my Grandfathers funeral a few years back. My brother and I both remember her great story telling ability and felt a piece of our childhood come alive again. It meant so much to us. May the joy of your memories and everyone she touched live in your hearts forever. Our deepest condolences.

Sincere condolences to the Anyans; Heather, Kevin, Cheryl and all your family members. They will both be sorely missed by so many.
Your parents served as an example to all aspects of community life; family, church, school, extra-curricular activities such as skating, and singing.
As members of the mobile society, it was often difficult to fit in to new communities. But your parents were welcoming and inclusive to our family when we were transferred to the Bowmanville area. The hand of welcome is very important in building community and Howard and Joan made us feel welcome to the Trinity Church community.
We are very sorry to have to say goodbye to both of them.
Love and Blessings to all of you.
