Dear Cousins: Thinking of you all. I remember Richard as kind hearted and hard working. So delighted when I finally got to meet him here in Alberta after hearing stories all my life. I'll never forget how he put my antique metal meat grinder back into one piece from two. He could work magic. Love and condolences, Cathy
I was talking to him in December about plans he had to build an oversized band saw, and of course we also spoke about family and family connection. He was a very creative and caring friend; it was always a joy to exchange ideas with Richard. He was a unique individual; gone too soon and and sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

Dear Cousins,
I am thinking of you all today. Yes Uncle Richard was a brave man. His health did not treat him well the past 6 years or so.
Uncle Richard was always willing to help out with anything when he visited. Just sorry we did not live closer to have seen more of him.
Rest In Peace Uncle Richard you deserve it.
Love Suzanne.

Dad, you had a long hard fight, from February 2011 you have been fighting, when you asked me if I wanted you to live, the obvious answer was yes, you said you would fight then. I didnt have the heart to tell you that I didnt think you were going to pull through this time. All I could do was sit there and be there to try and keep your last time here as comfortable as possible for you. You are no longer suffering, there is no more fighting, you can rest now, Love you, miss you.
