I am writing here since I cannot be there with you during the service. The list of the names in Nana's obituary shows just how much Nana loved and was loved. She has left behind a thread of people who owe their humor, their wit, and their storytelling abilities to her. When I think of her I will always remember her in her house on Douglas Ave. I remember her laughter and I remember her making us lemon squares and all the things we loved to eat. I never realized as a kid that she hated doing that, but she loved us, and so did it happily. I wish I'd had more time with her, but I am glad my kids know her and her memory will always live on in the stories she told.
