Obituary of Marilyn Joyce Wells

(nee Taylor)

January 3, 1945 - January 14, 2018

Peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on January 14, 2018  with her daughter Lisa (Brandon) Smith of Courtice holding her hand.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Clifford, of Bowmanville, 54 years married. Her son Darren (Pauline), of Oshawa, her grand-daughters Taylor and Hailey Smith of Courtice. Her sister, Carole Bowden (Jacque) of Whitby. Fondly remembered by, nephew Doug Bowden (Gloria) & family of Ajax, nephew Dave Bowden & family of Bloomfield, niece Cheryl Woitte & family and sisters-in-law; Linda Wells, of Red Deer, AB, Mona Roydhouse, of Peers, AB, Sherry Kalk (Norman), of Cherhill, AB, Diane Arndt (Ewald), of Yellow Head County, AB, and her many more nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by her four-legged feline friends, Cricket and Venus. Many thanks to the wonderful nurses at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Acute Short Stay. (8th Floor).

A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will take place at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH #178, 109 King St. E., Bowmanvile, on Saturday April 7, 2018 from 1 – 6 pm. Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, ON. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
