Obituary of Erika Martha Widuckel

(nee Steffen)

December 3, 1927 – January 7. 2018

Born in Kolsa, Germany,  a small village near Wittenberg, Germany. She is predeceased by her husband Ludwig Widuckel and son Raymond Widuckel. In Germany she studied to become a nurse and came to Canada to continue her nursing career.

She worked for many years as a nurse and ended her career in Toronto, Ontario.

She enjoyed hiking in Arizona, where her and Ludwig had a home in Tucson, Arizona, as well as in Grand Forks, BC.  She very much enjoyed cooking, working in her garden and swimming.

She will be greatly missed by her granddaughter Kiersten Woodbeck, daughter in-law Sherry  Woodbeck and brother Werner Steffen and their families.
