My most heartfelt condolences on the death of your mother. I often think of growing up on Orchard view and your family played a large part. Shirley helped me get a summer job at the training school which I was so thankful for. My most amusing memory:. Several of us girls were on your porch, I think we were about 12 years old, we were figuring out if we had enough money for smokes. Your mother came out and asked what we were doing and we told her counting our money and she said asked if we were going to buy cigarettes. We were stunned and quickly denied it. To put it in perspective we needed 51 cents for a pack of 25.
