How sad it is to hear of relatives of good friends that have passed. I have known most of Wayne's family but never got the chance to meet him. Quite a while back I saw that Marlene has also gone to be with her beloved husband "Gene". Marlene I did get to know very well, such a wonderful and giving, touching woman. My prayers are with you, especially Robert, Crystal, Cecil and their daughter Shelley Abernethy and Thrish Pulito.

Wayne and I have been friends since grade school. We grew up together and he gave me away at my wedding. I think back over the many years of friendship and there are so many memories that I could not even begin to tell them all. We had some hilarious shopping trips at Honest Ed's in Toronto. Trips to the lake for bingo and the time when the cars brakes went out and my mother (Fern) was yelling "header for the ditch" we laughed at that for years. Then there was the time we cried all afternoon when Elvis passed away. Wayne was one of my longest and dearest friends and now I bet my mother and Wayne are having a great time playing bingo together. You will be missed dearly every day until we meet again. I met Wayne through Steve and Karey a couple of years ago. He was such a helpful person, I remember him taking us apple picking and he would have climbed every tree if we would have let him! When we were at the trailer, he came out to visit and would have us laughing constantly. When he sold his home he was looking forward to another chapter in his life, I am so sorry that it did not happen for him, I will miss you Wayne!

So sorry to hear about Wayne's passing. He will be missed by many, I remember the fun we used to have when we get together especially our early days of the Orono fair when we were kids on the midway! Wayne loved life and he loved people. A kinder heart you won't find.
