To Jerry and Family,
I am a volunteer in the Complex Care Unit at the hospital and I have enjoyed Sandy's smiles, hugs, fabulous sense of humour and her contagious laugh that always made me laugh along with her for the 4 1/2 years she was in Bowmanville Hospital.
I am also a quilter and Sandy and I often spent time looking at quilt magazines. She had a love of all crafts and I always admired how easily she could pick her colours and put a project together - a true talent.
Sandy's gentle nature and her love for children was so obvious when I stopped by the hospital with my grand daughter. Addyson and I had a nice visit with Sandy a few weeks back and the way Sandy held her hand and rubbed her cheek was just so sweet.
I am thankful that I was able to join in and enjoy a piece of cake with Sandy at her little get together before she left Bowmanville Hospital.
I truly, truly enjoyed every moment I spent with Sandy the time she was in Bowmanville.
Nobody could sing "You Are My Sunshine" better than Sandy and smiling the whole time.
My thoughts are with all of Sandy's family and friends, she was loved will be missed by many.
Trudy

We wish to give our condolence to Sandy's family. I am a volunteer on the CCC Unit for the last 2 1/2 years. I got to know Sandy and loved her. I would give her a hug each time I saw her. She would give me a hug back and a kiss. She was a ray of sun shine and a pleasure to be with. I got to see her the day she was leaving Bowmanville Hospital and was so sad to see her leave. I will miss her so much! My husband plays guitar and sings for the patients once a month. Sandy really enjoyed the music and would try and sing along.
Sandy was a very special lady!
