In his 96th year

RCAF Veteran

Volunteer at Bowmanville Hospital for over 10 years
 

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday October 4, 2017

 

Beloved husband of Natalie (Eyre) and the late Irene.  Loving father of Linda (John) Morgan, Gary (Debbie) Stretton, Donna (Nick) Valente, Pamela (Marzy) Anania and Glenn (Jan) Stretton.  Dear step-father of Gordon (Laura) Eyre, Don Eyre and Mary (Mike) Jones.    Cherished Papa of Shaun (Zoe), Jason (Jen), Robert (Denyse), Bonnie, Christie (Jamie), Matthew, Chris (Lauren), Corey (Matt), Adam (Stephanie), Melissa, Matthew, Nicole and Daniel and step-grandpa to Christopher, Matthew & Stephen.  He will be sadly missed by his 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews and countless friends.  Harvey was predeceased by his brothers Grant Taylor & Lionel Stretton.

 

Visitation will be held at NEWCASTLE FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH, 200 King Ave. E. Newcastle on Saturday October 7th, 2017 from 10 – 11 am.  A Royal Canadian Legion Service will begin at 11 am, followed by the Funeral Service.  Interment at Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa, Ontario.  Memorial Donations may be made to Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Foundation.  Arrangements entrusted to  NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville.

Road Closure

For friends and family attending the Visitation and Funeral Service, please be aware there is a road Closure in Newcastle. The main street (King Avenue) will be closed west of the church for a Harvest Festival. Please plan accordingly.
