We met Mike when he came to St. Francis Parish many years ago. We shared coming from the east coast, I, Doris, from the Miramichi.. Mike became an active member of our parish. We thank Mike and Susan for attending our daughter's visitation in February. Our sincere sympathy to Susan and family.

Just like the miracle of birth and watching a newborn take their first breath, being able to share the life of such a strong caring man, and to be able to share every last moment with him as he prepared for his next journey - it truly was a miracle that was witnessed.
Although we cannot see or touch Michael anymore - he is still with you in your hearts, your mind and your soul. If you sit silently you will feel him.

Dear Gilfoy Family,
Ian and I send heartfelt sympathy to you all. Mike was a neighbour of mine growing up. I remember him as being a smart, unassuming, intelligent man.
I recall hearing the news that Mike was moving to Ontario for work. I was a little sad because he was such a great neighbour and asset to Williams Point.

Mike was a great mentor and teacher to this young pipefitter who wanted to come off the tools and start a career in planning and assessing. He was the first person to help show and guide me on a good path for this new opportunity. This was approx. 25 years ago and I remember his quiet , patient influence like it was yesterday. Thanks Mike , you taught me a lot and will always be one of my favourite coworkers and mentors.
