BEN MALDA

In our hearts forever and always, Ben passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 14, 2017 at the age of 77.

Dearly beloved husband of Grace.  Loving father of John, daughter in law Michelle, and daughter Kim (Ian).  Cherished Pappy to Rena, Stephanie (Jeremy Carswell) and Kevin.  Proud and beloved Great-Pappy to Marshall and Charleigh.  Beloved brother to his sister Lucy, brother in law Richard Rekker, his sister Helen and brother in law George Kloos. Fondly remembered by his extended family, many friends and his dear friend Archie Martin (Sharon) who he loved like a brother.  Ben was predeceased by his son in law Bob Gaston.

Our heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kassirer and the nursing staff in the Complex Continuing Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville whose exceptional care and kindness is so appreciated.

In keeping with Ben’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street Bowmanville on Monday June 19th at 3 pm. Visitation will be from 2 – 3 pm.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Lakeridge Health Foundation ~ Durham Region Cancer Centre. Online
