Jan VanLuling built our house on Cochrane St. in Brooklin in 1970, and from the first planning meeting through the ensuing 35+ years we remained good friends and neighbours. Jan was an honourable man of high principles and we were honoured to be his friends. Although we no longer live in Brooklin, we will never forget Jan and the house he built so well for us.

My sincere condolences to all of you. I thought ome Jan would enjoy his life at his new place for very many years. But ... he is no longer among his dear family. I will remember his smile when he had fun (just as at the picture), when he did the things he loved. I remember him being always busy with everything. I keep the memory to ome Jan in my heart.
I wish you all strength and faith during the coming days, weeks, months, years while missing this kind, nice and beloved father, grandfather, grandgrandfather and brother.

Ome Jan will live on in our hearts and memories. We will miss his yearly phonecalls in January to wish all of us a blessed new year. Although we couldn't see eachother very often because of the distance, he was always present in our thoughts and will stay in our hearts and thoughts forever. We just heard this said news this morning.
I would like to say that our thoughts and prayers are with the Lulling family and to anyone who loved Jan. I never met Jan in person, due to the great distance between us, but I did have a little idea how he was. What i saw from family video's from my grandmother (Pleun) and tapes I heared on birthdays. I can only say, he must have been a wonderfull man to be arround with.
So from me and my family here in Holland, we wish U all the best and strength in these hard times.
