Obituary of Chris Blackburn

After a brief battle with cancer, peacefully passed away at home, with his family by his side on Saturday February 11, 2017 at the age of 47 years. Beloved husband & best friend of Monique (nee Welmers) for over 25 years. Loving and devoted father to his four adoring children; Kyle, Tyler, Nicole, and Megan. Predeceased by his infant son, Cody. He will be missed his parents, Alan & Barbara and his siblings, Althea Blackburn- Evans (Mike) and Ryan (Laura). He will be fondly remembered by the Welmers Family; Monique’s parents, Ernst & Ilona, her sister, Carole and son, Connor. A Celebration of Chris’ life will be held at the ROUGE RIVER COMMUNITY CENTRE, 2- 120 Rouge Bank Dr. Markham, on Sunday March 5th from 1:30 pm – 4 pm. Memorial Donations may be made to GetRecD, which is a not for profit organization that hosts recreational and special events, to get people active, while raising funds to directly support cancer patients.
